The drivers you get from brother are 32 bit drivers So you have to provide an 32bit environment especially the libraries for them. I tried with several applications like LibreOffice. I’d be curious as to how well it works. This was working fine in Wheezy when printing custom labels generated with glabels having the same dimensions as the printer media size 59 x 32 mm. The only error I have got in the cups log: Status changed to ‘Confirmed’ because the bug affects multiple users. I have seen that provided label templates follow the same approach at least in earlier versions of glabels. I am not entirely sure I was qo driver version 1. I used the internal driver ql recommended by ubuntu and the drivers from brother. Comment on this change optional.
